Body found at North Shore's AUT University campus

A woman's body has been discovered on AUT's North Shore campus, police said today.

The deceased middle-aged woman was found in the grounds on Akoranga Drive, Northcote at about 1.20pm.

"Police are currently treating the death as unexplained and will be referring
the matter to the coroner," said a police official.

A thorough examination of the area in which she was found has been carried out by officers.

"There are strong lines of enquiry as to the identity of the deceased, though
she has yet to be formally identified," the police spokesperson said.
