The streets will be a little quieter around Christchurch for a while, after a police blitz on boy racers.
More than 100 are off the road, including 33 who were processed for drink-driving.
Bailiffs seized almost 40 cars because of unpaid fines, including one whose owner had racked
up tickets worth $32,000.
Another 36 were written off the road because of defects, and more than 500 traffic tickets were handed out.
