Head coach James Hodgson was equally jubilant.
"I'm over the moon with the season and really proud of the team and the club.
"Winning the league was our goal from the start, and we have been working hard, both on and off the pitch, to make it a reality."
Manager Tu Hayes said winning promotion was an "amazing feeling" and said the aim now was to raise funds and join the Capital league.
Hayes is particularly keen to develop opportunities for younger players who are hoping to play at a higher level in the near future.
With this in mind the club, alongside a continued involvement with their growing junior section, is strengthening their connections with Kuranui College.
Football is particularly popular in Greytown with the town boasting 13 teams in the junior grade, four teams at college, three senior teams and a women's social team.
