Bay of Plenty lawn tractor victim named

Police have named the man who died after a lawn tractor rolled on a farm in the western Bay of Plenty last night.

He was Eric Edwin Webster, 59.

The accident happened at Aongatete, 26km northwest of Tauranga, when it appeared Mr Webster was driving on a steep bank, lost control and ended up in a pond trapped under the vehicle, police said.

The death has been referred to the coroner.
