Bashed toddler still critical, but stable

A 2-year-old boy who suffered serious head injuries after allegedly being bashed in his Masterton home remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

Caleb Skinner has been in an induced coma in Auckland's Starship Hospital since late on Monday. He was found unconscious in the bath at his home.

He was this morning said to be in a critical but stable condition, with no change overnight.
