Bain pre-trial arguments continue

A series of pre-trial legal arguments relating to the February retrial of David Bain on five murder charges will today continue in the High Court at Christchurch.

Two weeks have been set aside for the hearing of the applications by Justice Graham Panckhurst, Christchurch Court News website reported.

The media is not allowed to report on such hearings.

An earlier pre-trial hearing decided that the retrial would be heard in Christchurch rather than Dunedin, where the other five Bain family members were killed.

Bain supporter Joe Karam was in the public gallery at the court for the first day of the hearing on Monday.
