A man has been sent for trial on a charge of murdering Korean backpacker Jae Hyeon Kim.
Former Nelson fisherman Shannon Brent Flewellen, 29, was yesterday committed to the High Court at Christchurch by justices of the peace after a three-day depositions hearing in Greymouth District Court.
He pleaded not guilty.
On Tuesday, a 31-year-old man, whose name is suppressed, pleaded guilty to murdering Mr Kim at Charleston, near Westport, late in 2003.
He was committed for sentencing in the High Court at Wellington in December.
On Monday another man agreed there was a prima facie case against him.
