A 7-week-old baby was taken to hospital in serious condition yesterday after falling out of a cot.
The little girl was flown from the Coromandel to Auckland's Starship Hospital by Westpac Rescue Helicopter about 7.30pm.
Helicopter intensive care flight paramedic Russell Clarke said it appeared the girl's brother had been
"over-excited" and had tipped over the bassinet.
The baby fell out and hit her head. She was taken to Starship Hospital in serious but stable condition.
