A Wellington mother is on the warpath after a group of youths lobbed a balled-up mouldy sandwich at her baby's head while she was driving today.
Joval Bennett's 1-year-old son had a bruise on the side of his face after the incident outside St Patrick's College on Evan's Bay Paradethis afternoon, she said on Facebook.
Bennett took to the popular page Vic Deals to describe the attack, saying the group "branded" the "rolled-up, rotten sandwich" through the car window into her son's face.
"I hope I see you cruising in your car again today because I'm gonna show you how it feels to have a huge bruise on your face. You disgusting piece of crap," she wrote.
The assailants were in a red car that might have been a Starlet or similar model, she said.
Bennett took her baby home and put an ice pack on the bruise and grazing he suffered.
"I just hope they don't do something stupid like that again in a hurry. If it bruised my son that bad, I'd hate to see the damage to a younger baby," she wrote.
Police confirmed to the Herald they received a report of the incident at 2.08pm today.
