A baby has died at an emergency housing provider in central Wellington.
Wellington City Mission staff were called to an address on Manners St this morning by a mother who discovered her child wasn't breathing.
Staff immediately called emergency services, but they were unable to resuscitate the child.
Police have
confirmed they were called to a property on Manners St at 9.40am today. They do not believe the death was suspicious.
Wellington City Missioner Murray Edridge says they are providing support to the family and staff.
