Baby Ayla still in critical condition, outlook uncertain

The Givealittle campaign, to help establish a trust fund for ex-All Black Jerry Collins newly orphaned daughter, has so far raised $21,276.62 in just two days.

Jerry Collins Memorial Fund Givealittle page established for Ayla received donations from 406 donors following the news both Jerry Collins and his partner Alana Madill had been killed in a car accident in France on Friday.

Collins' agent Tim Castle said Ayla remained in critical condition and the outlook was uncertain, Radio NZ reported.

"That's the most accurate word I can give you at this time," he said.

Mr Collins' family and friends have gone to Montpellier to be beside four month-old Ayla.

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to Mr Collins and Ms Madill this morning.

"It's very sad," John Key said on TV One. "He's someone who earned our respect on the rugby field."
