Automotive Technician

We are a well established Automotive Repair Business based in Whanganui.

We require a Fully Qualified Automotive Technician to join our successful business and great workshop team

We pride ourselves on Excellent Customer Service and this is paramount to our success.

The applicant must be able to:
•Carry out general servicing and repairs on various vehicles
•Diagnose and resolve problems on vehicles
•Carry out light engineering tasks
•Organise daily operation of workshop and have excellent time management
•Work within a team environment and be a team player

The applicant needs to be:
•Reliable, honest and hardworking
•Customer focused and have excellent communication skills
•Of good character and a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness

Hours will be 40 per week

Applicant will need to have full clean drivers license

Start date can be negotiated

Pay rate will be discussed with successful candidate

Key attributes the candidate needs:

Excellent Diagnostic Skills (Mechanical & Electrical). Qualified Mechanic

Excellent Mechanical Repair Knowledge and Skills

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Ability to Schedule and Manage Workflow

Minimum experience of 2 years, on the Tools (as Mechanic - Automotive Technician)

Excellent Time Management Skills

Ability to work in a strong team environment and able to work individually

Ability to communicate

Experience in fitting and balancing tyres and puncture repairs

Honest, reliable and hard working

Current New Zealand Drivers Licence must be held.

This is a permanent fulltime position to the right applicant.
