Van rolls after hitting truck in South Auckland, 3 people taken to hospital

Emergency services have responded to a crash in Wiri, where a van rolled after hitting a stationary truck-and-trailer unit.

Emergency services have responded to a serious car accident in South Auckland, with three people being transported to hospital.

A police spokesperson said they received a report about 5.25pm that a van had rolled on Mayo Rd in Wiri.

The van had struck a stationary truck-and-trailer unit before rolling.

The police spokesperson said three people have been taken to hospital, with one suffering serious injuries and two having moderate injuries.

One other person received minor injuries.

St John has been contacted for comment.

Mayo Rd is currently blocked, with cordons at the intersections of Mayo Rd/Langley Rd and Mayo Rd/Bolderwood Place.
