Six young people have been injured after an Auckland party spiralled out of control, with reports of machetes, vicious assaults and a car being driven at partygoers.

Four people have been hospitalised, one in a serious condition, after an incident in a central Auckland suburb.
Police, ambulance and firefighters are attending the incident across a number of streets in Mount Albert where 70-100 people could be seen gathered in groups.
St John was alerted to the incidentnear Jerram St and Phyllis St at 9.24pm.
One person was transported to Auckland Hospital in a serious condition, three others in moderate conditions.
Four ambulance transport units, three critical care units and an operations manager responded.
A Herald photographer said multiple people were being treated by ambulance staff, with 15 to 20 police cars parked along surrounding streets in the suburb.
One person at the scene claimed some of those hurt had been stabbed, but authorities have not confirmed the nature of any injuries, nor the circumstances of the emergency.
Broken bottles, shoes, and other items are scattered across the surrounding streets, with a strong smell of alcohol lingering where bottles were thrown.
