Auckland road cordoned off as armed police search property

A major South Auckland road has been cordoned off this morning as armed police search a property.

Great South Rd in Papakura is cordoned off from Rosehill Drive to Settlement Rd, as police search a Papakura address with the armed offender squad.

Police have put diversions in place.

The police action will cause traffic congestion and motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
