"There are about 80 photos," he said. "Photos of them at the park, getting their hair done - I can see my things in the background of the photos."
After posting the photos to community Facebook pages, young teens were identified as potential culprits and allegedly posted comments taunting their victims.
"F** yuhr crack uhp, yuh can't catch me [sic]," said one of the teens.
Trounson replied: "Your brother will do."
To which the teen wrote: "Oh my brother wasn't part of it, juhs me & someone else [sic]."
Detective Senior Sergeant Kevin McNaughton said early this morning police executed search warrants and inquiries at addresses in the Mangere area.
"Following this morning's warrants police have now recovered a number of stolen items, including a tablet, cell phone and camera. We are in the process of returning these items to the victims."
