Auckland's Southern Motorway is temporarily closed after a car caught fire tonight.
As a result of a car catching fire in a northbound lane of Auckland's Southern Motorway approximately 1 km south of the Mt Wellington offramp, the northbound lanes of the motorway are completely closed, police said.
Diversions arein place with northbound traffic exiting the motorway at Princes Street in Otahuhu and entering the motorway at Mt Wellington.
Motorists in the areas can expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes.
