Sustainable living
Green living has become an ever-growing trend. The show will host a large number of exhibitors doing solar options alongside smaller appliances designed to use less power, or manage the amount of hot water in the shower.
Squeezing it all in
As the average cost of a new home continues to climb, homeowners are looking at ways to make the most of their smaller spaces. Managing director at Tiltaway Beds NZ and MiniKitchens NZ Robbie McIntosh said there was a heightened demand for products that could fit into tighter spaces. "It has gone bananas, especially in the city." Foldable beds, that can be tidied away to make room for day-to-day activities, and mini-kitchens are some of the nifty products that can help transform a small space into an all-in-one living area.
Wetrooms
In the bathroom the floor-to-ceiling shower is becoming a popular way to open up the space. To add character to the space, glass screens printed with an image of your choice, printed wall areas and even tiles are an ongoing trend this year.
