A police officer was injured in a crash that closed a central Auckland street and caused “extensive damage” to two vehicles.
Police are making inquiries into the crash involving an unmarked police vehicle in Newton Rd, Eden Terrace, which was reported at around 8.50pm yesterday, said Inspector Kai Shao.
The driver of the second vehicle involved and a police officer received minor injuries, said Shao.
“Two other police officers in the unmarked vehicle were uninjured however both vehicles have sustained extensive damage.”
