Auckland Airport operations resume

All operations have resumed at Auckland airport after a suspicious package caused evacuations from its domestic terminal this morning.

Police said the package had been found near Jetstar's counter at 7.40am, and the bomb squad was called in to investigate.

The package was found to be harmless, they said.

An airport spokesman said the terminal had reopened just before 9am and there were minimal delays.
