Arrest made: Police use road spikes to stop stolen car near Hamilton

Police have taken a man into custody after a stolen-car incident that ended when the car was stopped with road spikes.

The man was arrested in the Horsham Downs area in Rototuna near Hamilton just before midday.

A police spokeswoman said there was a person of interest driving the vehicle.

It is understood the driver came close to hitting other motorists.

Police said the vehicle was located and stopped and the driver was taken into custody.
