Arrest after alleged Takanini assault

One person has been arrested after an alleged assault in South Auckland this morning.

Police converged on a Conifer Grove property just after 11am today.

They were alerted to the incident after a 111 call from a member of the public.

Police remained at the scene.

"Police have attended a domestic incident in Takanini this morning," said spokeswoman Kim Chambers.

"One person has received minor injuries and another person has been taken into custody."

No further information was available.
