An army truck was carrying live ammunition when it collided with a carload of Mongrel Mob Notorious members.
The incident last month has now been confirmed by the New Zealand Defence Force.
The vehicles collided at a roundabout in the Waikato town of Matamata on October 18, Fairfax reported.
The
Defence Force said in a statement that the vehicle was secured and never left unattended. "All ammunition was accounted for after the accident."
Police told Fairfax that one person was issued with an infringement notice, but would not confirm whether they were a member of the Defence Force or the Mongrel Mob.
