Napier police are seeking witnesses to an armed robbery at a service station in the city this morning.
Sergeant Wendy Wright said the sole attendant at the Gull service station on Taradale Road was approached by a man with a weapon about 5am.
The man got away with
cash and cigarettes, Ms Wright said.
He drove off in a white two-door Honda car.
Ms Wright said the man was Maori or Pacific Island, around 1.75m tall, with a stocky build, wearing dark clothing and a green bandanna over his face.
