A woman with a gun is being hunted after she and a man robbed a liquor store on Auckland's North Shore and fled on foot.
The pair entered the Forrest Hill shop about 7.30pm on Saturday. The woman pointed a pistol at the two attendants in Pupuke Wine and Spirits while the other offender, a man, stuffed a small amount of cash and cigarettes into a back pack before fleeing.
Police said the pair were seen near East Coast Bays Rd.
Detective Sergeant Adam Lough said no shots were fired.
The woman was possibly Maori in her late 20s, about 1.55m tall of medium build with a round face.
She wore a white cotton hoodie with the hood up, white cotton gloves, white pants and a white cloth over her face.
Police said she held the pistol, believed to be semi-automatic and not a revolver, in her right hand.
The man was possibly Maori about 1.8m tall, with a slim build and short black hair.
He wore a dark green full sleeve sweater and possibly black pants. He also had a white cloth covering his face.
