Armed police have descended on a Dunedin boarding house.
Seven police cars are at the scene at Leckhampton Court.
Residents spoken to told the Otago Daily Times they were unaware of what led to the callout as they had not seen or heard anything.
The house has about 10 rooms
and residents were told by police to come down to the front yard.
Four people are now speaking to police in front of the house.
