The Armed Offenders Squad is attending a call-out in Matamata.
Waikato District Command Centre senior sergeant David Raffan confirmed the AOS was going to an address in Matamata, but was unable to provde any more details at this stage.
A motorist travelling between Cambridge and Hamilton on SH1 said she passed at least six police cars, vans and undercover vehicles racing towards cambridge at about 2.45pm. "They were going at full speed," she said.
