"There was a very young police woman, she said 'it's okay, we're just police'."
Kathleen watched from her living room window as an armed officer straddled her fence.
After a time, police left and a man was taken away in an ambulance.
She said police came to speak to her afterwards and told her the man had suffered gunshot wounds, but it hadn't happened at the property.
The small group of flats around where the man was found were quiet on Friday morning, with many neighbours either not home or not answering their doors.
A woman who lived just metres away said she didn't hear or notice anything until about 4pm when police arrived in the driveway.
She said a family lived in the flat in question.
A woman in the adjoining flat said she did not hear or see anything either.
A police spokeswoman said police are still the initial stages of their investigation and were speaking to the injured the man to establish the circumstances around the incident.
