Two men have been arrested in relation to an armed robbery at a Tauranga dairy.
One, aged 18, has been charged with aggravated robbery and the other, aged 19, with being an accessory.
Both are unemployed, from Tauranga and due to appear in court this week.
The robbery happened atthe Grange Rd Dairy about 4.40pm last Monday when a balaclava-clad man entered the store, pulled a black pistol and demanded money from shopkeeper Craig Thorburn.
After Mr Thorburn handed over an unspecified amount of cash, the robber ran off.
The arrests come after police released security camera images of the masked armed robber brandishing the gun and leaving the store with a distinctive black and pink backpack.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner said police were not seeking anyone else in relation to the robbery.
