AOS called to stand-off on North Shore

The armed offenders squad has been called to a house on Auckland's North Shore where a man is in stand-off with police.

Officers found the man "non-compliant" when they arrived to execute a warrant at a Birkdale address around 10:40am, police said.

A northern communications spokeswoman said the armed offenders squad have been called in as police look at a range of tactics to resolve the stand-off.
