From dawn on Saturday, thousands will gather again to remember those who served and sacrificed for their country.

Anzac Day tributes take place all over the region, from early morning services in Napier and Hastings to community commemorations in Central Hawke’s Bay and beyond.

Clear skies are forecast after a week of rain.

Supermarkets and most businesses are usually restricted from opening before 1pm on Anzac Day.

Napier

5.40am - Assemble corner of Browning St and Marine Pde.

5.55am - Step off and march to Sound Shell.

6.00am – Formal ceremony begins.

10.50am - March into Memorial Square.

11am - Civic Ceremony begins at Memorial Square.

12pm - Light refreshments hosted at the Women’s Rest, Clive Square. This service will also include the 100-year commemoration of the Women’s Rest building.

Taradale

Dawn Service – Lone Pine

5.30am - Buses depart Taradale RSA.

6am - Service begins at Lone Pine Cemetery.

6.45am - Breakfast at the club.

7am - Buffet breakfast available at Bus Stop Restaurant.

8.30am - Merchant Navy Service held outside Taradale RSA clubrooms.

8.40am - Civic Service. Muster outside Paper Plus, Taradale.

8.50am - March to Town Clock.

9am - Civic Service commences. On completion, refreshments at Taradale RSA and entertainment. Bistro meals available at the clubrooms.

Eskdale

9am – Service at Eskdale War Memorial Church.

Tūtira

11am – Service at Tūtira War Memorial Church.

Hastings

5.25am - Parade assembly at Russell St North.

5.30am - Civic service at Hastings Cenotaph Civic Square.

Havelock North Citizens Service

08.30am - Parade assembly at Visitor Information Centre.

9am - Havelock North War Memorial.

Heretaunga Māori Service

11am - Kohupātiki Marae.

Hastings District Services

6.30am - Waimārama Memorial Hall.

8am - Mangateretere and Districts War Memorial.

9am - Te Haukē War Memorial.

9am - Rissington War Memorial.

9am - Eskdale War Memorial Church.

9am St Matthew’s Church Memorial Cairn.

9.30am - Clive War Memorial.

9.30am - Maraekākaho War Memorial.

10am - Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

5.30pm - Pakipaki and Districts War Memorial.

Central Hawke’s Bay

5.45am - Waipukurau Dawn Service. Assemble in the rear carpark at Memorial Hall, River Terrace, for service at 6am at the War Memorial Cenotaph.

5.45am - Ōtāne Dawn Service Hall Cenotaph, Higginson St.

5.45am - Pōrangahau Dawn Service Hall, Abercromby St.

9am - Hatuma Rd Memorial.

9am - Ongaonga Cenotaph, Bridge St.

9am - Tikokino Hall Cenotaph, Owen St.

9am - Omakere School.

9am - Elsthorpe Church Cenotaph, Kenderdine Rd.

10am - Takapau Cenotaph.

10.45am - Waipawa Civic Service. Assemble at the CHB Municipal Theatre, Kenilworth St. Service at 11am, followed by a march to the Memorial Clock Tower Cenotaph.

12pm - Ormondville Civic Service at Ormondville Church.

12.45pm - Whetukura Civic Service at Whetukura Cenotaph.

1.30pm - Makotuku Civic Service at Makotuku Cenotaph.

Tararua District

Dannevirke

5.45am - Dawn Service at the Dannevirke Cenotaph at the Upper Domain after the form-up.

8.30am - Civic Service at the Dannevirke Cenotaph at the Upper Domain after the form-up. The parade leaves the playground and marches to the Cenotaph for the laying of the wreaths. Both services will be held at the Cenotaph even if it is raining.

Woodville

5.50am - Dawn Service, Fountaine Square.

7.30am - Service at the RSA Services Cemetery.

9.50am - Civic Service in Fountaine Square.

Norsewood

10.20am - Form-up at the Boer War Memorial.

10.30am - Parade to the Civic Service at the cenotaph.

Wairoa

5.45am - Dawn Service at Kaiuku Marae, Mahia, on the Mahia East Coast Rd.

8.30am - Taihoa Marae Service on State Highway 2, Wairoa.

10am - Frasertown Civic Service at Carroll St.
