'Anti-terror' case goes back to court

The 18 defendants in the so-called eastern Bay of Plenty "anti-terror" raids return to court this week to hear an application for the case to be dealt with in the High Court.

The Crown application to be heard in the High Court at Auckland was expected to take two days, starting on Wednesday.

The case against the accused, who face mainly firearms charges, was due to be heard in the district court.

But the Crown want the case transferred to the High Court because there were legal issues regarding evidence which could only be considered in that court.
