Pharmaceutical company Pfizer says it is to blame for shortages of the anti-epilepsy drug Dilantin.
The drug was named by the Pharmacy Guild yesterday as one that had been out of stock recently.
Pfizer Pharmaceuticals New Zealand general manager Mark Crotty said yesterday that the company took full responsibility for the shortage.
"It is an issue we are dealing with, it's not a long-term issue."
