A car carrying a motorsport medical team has rolled in Southland.
St John have confirmed three people were involved in an accident at the Silver Fern Rally this afternoon.
St John spokesman Derek Liefting said the medical team were providing paramedic cover at the rally.
"There were three occupants in the car, and all sustained injuries. One has been transported by air ambulance to Dunedin Hospital. The other two patients have been transported to a local medical centre.
"St John is supporting those involved in the incident and their families."
