Air New Zealand has used facial recognition technology in a bid to help holidaymakers go on their dream Queensland getaway.
A new campaign has used software to monitor a range of visual cues including eye, mouth and facial movement as viewers watched footage of a dozen Queensland experiences.
It then made a personalised recommendation based on which experiences evoked the most positive reactions.
Air New Zealand general manager market development and retail sales Annabelle Fowler said the campaign was a fun and unique way to showcase what Queensland had to offer.
"From exploring the Noosa Everglades, soaking up the sun in the tropical north, unique dining experiences in Brisbane to some iconic Sunshine Coast road trips, Queensland has a huge variety of activities to suit all travellers.
"Using facial recognition technology in this way is a first for Air New Zealand and is an exciting way for us to engage with our customers and show them some Queensland experiences that they may not have previously considered."
The campaign was run in partnership with Tourism & Events Queensland.
Those who watched the video could also go in the draw to win a Great Barrier Reef experience with return "The Works" airfares for two people from any Air New Zealand domestic airport to Cairns, ground transfers, three nights resort accommodation and a four night Great Barrier Reef cruise.
Viewers can click here to see which Queensland experience inspires them the most and enter the draw. Entries close 22 February 2018.
