An Air Nelson aircraft had a graffiti tag cleaned off when it arrived at Auckland Airport this morning.
An airline spokesman said it was a small tag and must have been done overnight while the 50-seat Bombardier Q300 aircraft was parked at Kapiti Coast Airport, Paraparaumu.
No other damageor interference was found.
It happened on a flood-lit aircraft apron by the terminal which the airport operator had under camera surveillance.
The incident follows a December 1 2011 attempt to break into a Q300 at the airport overnight in which an emergency exit door was forced but did not open.
