ACT hits back after PM's criticism

ACT is hitting back after the Prime Minister ticked off opposition parties for attacking the police force.

Helen Clark told the Labour Party congress over the weekend that the opposition will attack anything for a headline, even if it harms crucial institutions like the police.

ACT leader Rodney Hide says Miss Clark's attack is a case of shooting the messenger, when instead she should be addressing the problems.
