A man accused of attacking an Auckland mother on her daily walk was remanded in custody when he appeared in court today.
Lual Makur Lual, 26, was to have appeared in Manukau District Court on Friday but didn't show up.
Police arrested him at the weekend and laid a charge
of failing to appear, in addition to charges of injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm against Praveet Singh and a charge of common assault against a different person on the same day.
Police opposed bail when he appeared in court today and he was remanded in custody to appear again later this month.
