A Kaikoura beneficiary filmed apparently doing heavy work while on accident compensation for a back injury says he is the victim of a smear campaign.
Mike "Milky" Gibson, who has been on ACC on and off since he first hurt his back in 1998, denies being afraudster and has never been prosecuted.
Video footage supplied to ACC reportedly showed him lifting large rocks, launching a boat and fixing a fence, but it is not clear when it was shot. He blames the video on feuds with neighbours.
