Relaxed anglers enjoyed the sunshine while fishing off the old Hobsonville Air Base plane ramp in Auckland yesterday.
Anzac Day proved to be a pleasant autumnal day for most of the country, with the sun making a reappearance after Sunday's wet weather.
That sun is expected to continue for most
of the week, with a ridge of high pressure spreading over the country from today. "By Wednesday the ridge is well established over the country, and persists into Thursday bringing fine, settled weather for most places," MetService meteorologist Ciaran Doolin said last night. Auckland will see a mostly sunny day today, with the odd shower in the west, and southwesterlies. Temperatures are expected to peak at 20C.
