74-year-old man crushed by large forklift

A 74-year-old man was flown to Nelson hospital after being crushed by a large forklift at a private property today.

The man was treated by Motueka St John Ambulance paramedics for serious chest injuries and lower leg fractures following the incident just after 1pm.

He was flown to hospital in serious condition by the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter.
