$6.7m Lotto prize still unclaimed in Wellington

There is excitement in the Wellington suburb of Newtown after a winning Big Wednesday ticket was sold there.

The ticket was sold at Mall Books and Lotto and is worth $6.7 million in cash and prizes.

Store owner Maximus Maisuria said the ticket is yet to be claimed but they have had a lot of hopefuls through already.

"We have people just coming into the store and asking 'who has won the prize'?" he said.

Mr Maisuria said it has capped a lucky week for the store with a second division Big Wednesday prize also won there last night and a second division Lotto prize won last Saturday.
