A 4.4 magnitude aftershock has shaken Christchurch this morning, GNS Science reports.
The quake struck at 6.37am, at a depth of 5km, and was centred 10km southeast of Christchurch, on Summit Rd, Godley Head.
GNS Science said the quake would have been felt widely in the Christchurch region.
