Geonet has reported another aftershock in Canterbury.
The shake at 4.37 this afternoon measured 3.8 on the Richter scale.
It had a focal depth of five kilometres and was centred near Darfield.
Last night's aftershock around 10.20 pm was magnitude 5 with a depth of 12 km.
