$2m drug haul accused in court

Five men accused of importing $2m of the drug GBH (Fantasy) from China reappeared in Wellington District Court today.

Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry employee Muhammed Bates, Alia Eban, Gregory Mollison, Reuben Gibbs and a man who has interim name suppression were remanded on bail for a pre-depositions hearing on August 27.

They were arrested after a police and customs investigation, Operation Midwest, earlier this year.
