Save Police have arrested two men after they had to abandon a car chase today.
Police say a car chase was abandoned today but two people were arrested after a Mercedes-Benz was driven dangerously and crashed.
The blue Mercedes allegedly failed to stop for police in Sandringham at 12.09pm.
The Mercedes had a minor crash near Onehunga Mall, some 8km away and two occupants then
ran from the vehicle, police said.
"The vehicle was initially pursued by police but was abandoned due to the dangerous manner the vehicle was being driven," police added.
The two occupants were arrested at 12.20pm.
