A teenager who's accused assaulting a woman near the Ava rail bridge in Lower Hutt this week has been arrested.
The 16-year-old is charged with assault, with intent to rob.
Police say he approached a 25-year-old woman armed with a knife and grabbed her hair, before running off.
They say
they've had an overwhelming response from the public to an appeal for information.
Inquiries are continuing into two other similar attacks earlier this year, and two indecent assaults of young women in the Naenae area.
