16-month old hit by car in South Auckland is discharged from hospital

The baby was struck by the car in Queen St, Otahuhu on Tuesday afternoon.

A 16-month-old child who was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in South Auckland is recovering at home after being discharged from hospital.

Police were called to the incident on Queen St in Otahuhu about 4.15pm on Tuesday.

The baby was taken to Middlemore Hospital in Otahuhu with serious injuries.

A hospital spokeswoman said the baby was discharged on Wednesday morning.
