$120,000 of cannabis plants found in Tauranga house

Police have found cannabis with a street value of $120,000 growing in a Windemere house near the city.

They seized 170 plants and 387 seedlings from three bedrooms equipped for the purpose.

Two double beds had been moved into the lounge to accommodate the growing operation.

A 37-year-old man will appear in the Tauranga District Court tomorrow.
