10,000,000th driver

Edward Halleron was greeted with gifts when he arrived at an Auckland AA centre to change his British driver's licence to a New Zealand one. His driver licensing transaction was the 10 millionth for the AA.

David McLister, the AA's general manager of driver and vehicle licensing, presented him with a gift voucher for a defensive driving course for experienced drivers and an AA membership.

The AA has processed driver licensing transactions on behalf of Land Transport New Zealand since May 1999 and processes 80 per cent of all NZ driver licensing transactions.
